Field Service Engineer – Immediate Start (Nationwide – Field Based)
Permanent, Full-Time.
Salary: £32,000 – £42,000 (DOE).
OverviewRegional Recruitment is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a professional and growing technology services provider. This customer‑facing, field‑based role requires a reliable, self‑sufficient individual who can work independently across multiple client sites nationwide.

Essential
- Proven experience installing and maintaining access control systems
- Strong fault‑finding and servicing experience within security systems
- Good understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, switches, configuration)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and travel nationwide
Desirable
- Experience working with Paxton systems
- Experience with CCTV and intercom systems
- Structured cabling experience (CAT5/CAT6)
- Broader knowledge of access control and integrated security systems
- Install, configure and commission access control systems at client sites
- Carry out planned maintenance and reactive service/fault‑finding visits
- Install and service CCTV and related security systems
- Configure networked devices and integrate systems into client networks
- Complete structured cabling and containment work where required
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation in line with company standards
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism on‑site
- Work safely and in line with company and industry regulations
- Travel nationwide to support client requirements
- Work independently and manage personal workload effectively
- Maintain excellent timekeeping and organisation
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Be flexible with travel and working locations across the UK
- Be able to hit the ground running with minimal training
