Fire and Security Service Engineer Small Works Engineer
A growing and professional fire and security company is looking for an experienced Engineer to carry out service, maintenance, small works and fault-finding across commercial, industrial and care sector sites throughout the Midlands.

SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + Benefits
LOCATION:
Covering sites across the Midlands area
JOB TYPE:
Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Core hours). Weekend work available, with uplifted rates for Saturday and Sunday as overtime
Please note:
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential
This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire and Security Service Engineer Small Works Engineer to join a growing team and work across a varied range of fire and security systems.
As a Fire and Security Service Engineer Small Works Engineer you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, small works and fault-finding on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, door access control and nurse call systems.
The Fire and Security Service Engineer Small Works Engineer role would suit someone with strong technical fault-finding ability, good knowledge of fire alarm systems and regulations, and a professional, customer-facing approach.
DUTIESYour duties as the Fire and Security Service Engineer Small Works Engineer include:
- Carry Out Planned Maintenance:
Complete planned preventative maintenance / PPM visits across commercial, industrial and care sector sites - Service Fire and Security Systems:
Service and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV systems, door access control and nurse call systems - Diagnose and Repair Faults:
Identify technical faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise disruption for customers - Complete Small Works:
Support small works activity across a range of fire and security installations and upgrades - Maintain Industry Standards:
Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations, industry standards and relevant guidance, including BS5839 - Complete Service Reports:
Record work accurately and complete service reports to a professional standard - Provide Technical Support:
Offer practical technical support and advice where required - Deliver Customer Service:
Maintain a high level of customer service when working on customer sites
- Proven experience working with fire and security systems
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and relevant regulations
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Own hand tools and drills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
