Mobile Plant Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a well-established fleet repair company based in Birmingham. This opportunity is ideal for experienced HGV or plant equipment technicians seeking a mobile role with steady earnings and performance bonuses. Duties of the Mobile Plant Engineer:

Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish a variety of plant equipment including dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, and pumps
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications, environmental, and health and safety standards
Maintain comprehensive records of all service and repairs carried out
Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring fleet performance remains optimal

Requirements of the Mobile Plant Engineer:

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
Proven experience as an HGV technician or plant mechanic
Full UK driving licence is essential
Own toolset; specialist tools will be supplied by the company
Proactive approach with a customer-focused mindset
Experience diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults is highly advantageous
