THE ROLE
As an Experienced MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. Working as part of a skilled accident repair team, you will ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer repair methods and bodyshop quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles

· Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components as required

· Diagnose faults and complete repairs using appropriate technical methods and equipment

· Work closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers

· Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and within agreed repair times

· Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical procedures and Health & Safety standards

· Inspect completed work to ensure vehicles are repaired to the required quality standards

· Maintain tools, equipment and working areas in a clean, safe and professional condition

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and technically capable MET Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship and can work effectively within a busy accident repair environment.

· Proven experience as an MET Technician, Mechanical Technician or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop

· Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge

· Experience working on accident-damaged vehicles

· Ability to diagnose faults and carry out accurate repairs

· Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures

· Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

· Comfortable working to deadlines, production targets and agreed repair times

· Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude

· IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential

· Full UK Driving Licence preferred
