LB235 - Truck / Trailer MechanicLocation: Takeley, EssexSalary: £40,000 - £45,000Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Truck / Trailer Mechanic on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform vehicle maintenance or trouble shoot defects and carry out repairs as necessary.
• To perform servicing and MOT preparation.
• Carry out occasional breakdowns using company service vans.
• Strong experience that has both breadth and depth of knowledge of trucks, trailers, engines, gearboxes, axles, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnosis and be able to use diagnostic equipment.
• Produce details of job on a job card, service sheet and daily time log.
• Communicate with supervisory staff regularly to keep them updated on the progress of your job.
• Be aware and responsible for Health & Safety of yourself and other employees.
• Shift pattern:
  Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
• With the nature of the work involved, sound training and support will be given.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Have both a good knowledge of heavy motor vehicles and, preferably, will hold at least a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification or equivalent....
