What You'll Do
In this role, you will serve as the primary resource for routine accounting matters and are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reporting. The position supervises accounting staff; oversees the general ledger, financial close, reconciliations, internal controls, grant accounting, and audit preparation; and serves as the primary resource for routine accounting matters. The Controller partners with the Chief Financial Officer to strengthen financial systems, budgeting, management reporting, and cost accounting so organizational leaders have timely and relevant information to manage Heartview effectively.
- Lead and supervise the Accounting Department.
- Manage financial close and reporting.
- Maintain accounting systems and internal controls.
- Strengthen management reporting and cost accounting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Oversee general accounting activities.
- Coordinate audit and external financial reporting.
- Promote financial accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all financial matters.
This position is in-person in Bismarck, ND.
- Full-Time, 40-hours per week, Monday through Friday

We’re searching for individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and eager to make a difference. Our ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field is required.
- Five years of progressively responsible accounting experience required; nonprofit or healthcare experience preferred.
- Prior experience or demonstrated experience leading accounting staff and processes required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and comply with our drug-free workplace policy.
