NDDOT Starting Salary: $4,050 / month

This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Bridge Division and Environmental and Transportation Services (ETS) Divisions, with backup support to the Design Division and Executive Office. The role requires independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing records, coordinating travel and training logistics, and processing vouchers and expense reports. The role also oversees document routing and contract processing through Docu Sign, maintains environmental and contract records, and ensures proper submission of official documents.

The position serves key compliance and coordination functions, acting as the affirmative action representative, records manager, and forms coordinator, while supporting records retention and data management practices. Additional duties include budget tracking, purchasing and asset management, onboarding and offboarding coordination, training and event logistics, and backup support for right of way and contract administration activities. The role requires strong organizational skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and two years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical or secretarial work.
  • Additional work experience as described may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process, reference and background checks.
