Admissions Coordinator

Heartview Foundation, a non-profit substance use disorder treatment center, is searching for an excellent communicator with an upbeat attitude to join our Admissions team. This position works with patients who are seeking information about the types of services offered, beginning services, and admitting to services in person, over the phone, and by email.

As an Admissions Coordinator, you will be a key part of our patients' initial experience with Heartview Foundation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Complete the initial phone call with potential patients requesting services.
  • Verify patient insurance information and connect them with the insurance team if they do not have active insurance; assisting with the insurance process as needed.
  • Schedule evaluations, inpatient residential stays, and provider appointments for Heartview services.
  • Coordinate transportation requests for patients admitting to services.
  • Communicate closely with other departments to ensure the patient's needs are being addressed.

This position is in-person in Bismarck, ND.

8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm;
Friday's workday ends at 3 pm.

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • One year of previous healthcare or healthcare office work is required.
  • Preference will be given to those who have worked within admissions or insurance currently or previously.
  • Great organization, ability to pay attention to fine details, multi-tasks, takes initiative, and has great communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and comply with our drug-free workplace policy, including pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
