Position Overview

Highmark Contracting Company is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Construction Operations Manager to oversee the successful execution of all company projects from pre‑construction through completion.

However, we are willing to consider a highly qualified construction manager with strong experience in project management, field operations, crew and subcontractor oversight, material procurement, scheduling, quality control, and construction safety.

This is a key leadership position responsible for all active Highmark projects
, not simply a portfolio of assigned jobs. The Construction Operations Manager will coordinate the people, materials, equipment, schedules, quality, safety, and field activities necessary to complete projects efficiently and profitably.

This is not strictly an office position. Regular travel to jobsites, including overnight and multi‑day travel, is required.

  • Identify potential scope gaps, constructability concerns, safety issues, and additional work before projects begin.
  • Communicate discrepancies, risks, and potential cost impacts to company leadership promptly.
Material Procurement
  • Determine material quantities based on field measurements, plans, specifications, and project scope.
  • Order and coordinate roofing and construction materials required for each project.
  • Schedule deliveries to align with project schedules and crew mobilization.
  • Work directly with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor material availability, costs, shortages, overages, and waste.
  • Resolve damaged, delayed, incorrect, or missing material issues.
  • Help ensure material purchases remain consistent with project budgets.

  • Coordinate and oversee company crews and subcontractors.
  • Establish clear expectations regarding productivity, workmanship, schedule, safety, and jobsite conduct.

  • Resolve field conflicts and performance issues promptly.

  • Reduce rework, callbacks, warranty claims, and avoidable project costs.
  • Coordinate manufacturer, customer, and project inspections when applicable.
  • Ensure punch‑list and closeout requirements are completed.
Safety Oversight
