Senior Superintendent

MXI Partners are seeking a Senior Superintendent to join one of the most established general contractors in the country, specializing in data center construction.

• Provide overall field leadership across large-scale data center construction projects.
• Manage Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, foremen, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee preconstruction activities, including site logistics, crisis management, project-specific rules, safety planning and mobilization.
• Lead daily huddles, weekly work planning, site coordination, workforce planning and material deliveries.
• Manage and implement the project schedule, working closely with the Project Management team to maintain milestones and adjust sequencing when required.
• Coordinate general construction and complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes.
• Support subcontractor selection, RFIs, procurement planning and the tracking of materials, tools and equipment.
• Work with the Quality Control and Project Management teams to develop and implement the project-specific quality plan.
• Oversee Procore activities, including pre-installation plans, first-work inspections, observations, inspections and punch lists.
• Ensure drawings, logs, inspection records and as-built documentation remain accurate and current.
• Manage site labor, materials and equipment against the project budget.
• Review weekly and monthly cost projections and expenditures with the Project Management team.
• Oversee project closeout, including punch-list execution, commissioning, final inspections, owner training and turnover.
• Lead Lean construction practices, standard work, pull-planning sessions and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe working environment by leading safety meetings and orientations and ensuring compliance with OSHA and project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

• 15+ years of progressive construction experience.
• Currently operating as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Lead Superintendent or General Superintendent.
• 3+ years of data center construction management experience.
• Strong general construction and MEP experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, foremen and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Proven responsibility for project scheduling, site logistics, safety, quality, cost control, commissioning and closeout.
• Strong technical proficiency across Outlook, Excel, Word, Bluebeam and Procore, or equivalent software.
• Must be willing to work initially in Bismarck and/or Ellendale, North Dakota.
• Must be willing to travel extensively
• Base salary of $170,000-$200,000, dependent on experience.
