Overview:
As a Locum Interventional Radiologist, you will provide essential diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions, including angiography, stenting, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and more. Operating on an 8-hour day schedule with evening and weekend call responsibilities, you ll deliver top-tier care to a diverse patient population while enjoying the support of a dedicated team committed to excellence and professional growth.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in general Interventional Radiology procedures
- Proficiency in diagnostic vascular interventions, angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, and biopsies
- Ability to handle vascular access device placements, central lines, and related procedures
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- EMR proficiency in Epic or equivalent
Skills:
- Stroke thrombectomy experience or capabilities
- Experience with advanced procedures such as TIPS, Y90/TACE, cryoablation, uterine artery embolization, and neuro interventions
- Ability to read diagnostic images in between procedures
Education and Experience:
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology with subspecialty training or experience in Interventional Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years of IR procedure experience in a clinical setting
- Active ND medical licensure or the ability to obtain one swiftly
- Current ND medical license and ability to complete credentialing within 60-90 days
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Travel accommodations, including preferred lodging and airfare, will be arranged
- Must be comfortable performing a broad scope of IR procedures as specified
- Ability to participate in on-call shifts with minimal callbacks during emergencies
