Bismarck State College (BSC), North Dakota's only polytechnic institution, is on the lookout for a dynamic, motivated, and student-centered College Admissions Recruiter to join our energetic team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Hit the Road & Make Connections

You'll be the face of BSC at high schools, college fairs, businesses, and community events-in and out of state.

* Represent BSC to prospective students, parents, counselors, and educators.

* Deliver engaging presentations (yes, you'll need your public speaking game!).

* Build lasting relationships with schools and community organizations.

* Flexibility is key-you'll be attending some evening and weekend events.

Be a Student's Go-To Guide

Guide students and their families through the admissions journey with empathy, clarity, and enthusiasm.

* Manage your own recruitment territory and be the main contact for your schools.

* Meet with students and families one-on-one to explore their options at BSC.

* Keep the communication flowing-via phone, email, text, and in-person.

* Provide awesome campus tours and help students picture life at BSC.

Shape the Future of Enrollment

Team up with departments across campus to hit enrollment goals and make each recruiting season a success.

* Collaborate with faculty and staff to plan and execute recruitment strategies.

* Help coordinate events that move students from "interested" to "enrolled."

* Be the admissions liaison for a specific academic division.

Jump In Where Needed

* Attend team meetings, support special projects, and pitch in to make things happen.

* Always bring top-tier customer service.

* Help keep student records safe and confidential.

Minimum Requirements

* Minimum of an associate degree with one year of related experience or a bachelor's degree.

* Ability to recruit for and promote BSC offerings.

* Proficient in building relationships and public speaking.

* Excellent written communication skills.

* Must have exemplary customer service skills.

* Ability to take initiative, make independent judgments/decisions, and work as a team member.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

* Proficient in working knowledge of computer software programs, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and excellent keyboarding skills.

* Must be able to represent BSC's polytechnic mission with enthusiasm, energy, and poise.

* Must be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.

* Must have a current, valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior Experience in a College Admissions/Enrollment Services position.

* Prior experience using admissions Customer Relationship Management software.

* Educational degree in marketing, communication, or education.

* Prior sales or marketing experience.

* Familiar with People Soft or another student administrative software.

* Working knowledge and/or understanding of the varying needs and concerns facing new traditional and non-traditional students.
