Are you interested in mechanics, mathematics, and natural sciences and are you handy? Can you work well with others and are you looking for a hands-on vocational training? Then the apprenticeship as a tool mechanic at ABB is just right for you!

• Duration of vocational training: 3.5 years
• Start with an introductory event for mutual acquaintance
• Provision of basic competencies for your successful training
• Theoretical model at the vocational school (learning)
• Practical phases with self-directed tasks and projects in the company (application)
• Good basis for your future professional and career development
• Later fields of activity are, among others, in the production, installation, and maintenance of tools, molds, or machines in the plant construction or in the production

• At least a very good secondary school certificate or the intermediate maturity
• Good grades in mathematics, natural sciences, and technical subjects would be helpful
• Interest in technical topics, challenging questions, and new software programs
• Responsibility and commitment to your goals
• Self-initiative and independence
• Perseverance, team and communication skills

During your vocational training, you will receive a monthly training allowance: already in the first training year over 1,200.00€ gross, which continuously increases in the following years. Further benefits are, for example, holiday money, Christmas money, and in most locations a subsidized canteen.

As a contact person you have a team that advises and supports you in your training. Through various events you are closely connected with other trainees and ABB colleagues from the beginning. The training and the cooperation at ABB is cosmopolitan, collegial, and on an equal footing.

In addition to the training, you can further qualify yourself linguistically and personally through additional offers, for example, during a foreign stay.
