Pastor of Worship and Discipleship – Bismarck Baptist Church

Bismarck Baptist Church is seeking a Worship & Discipleship Pastor to join our pastoral staff and help us grow as a worshiping, disciple-making community. We are looking for a pastor who loves Jesus, loves the local church, and is passionate about helping people grow in their faith.

This person will work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor, pastoral staff, and deacon board to provide pastoral leadership in two key areas: worship and discipleship.

• Lead and develop Bismarck Baptist’s musical worship ministries, including musicians, vocalists, and production teams.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff in planning weekly worship services and special services.
• Recruit, equip, disciple, and care for musical worship team members.
• Help cultivate Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship throughout the life of the church.
• Work with the Lead Pastor and staff to develop and strengthen Bismarck Baptist’s churchwide discipleship process.
• Help establish clear pathways for people to grow from new believers or first-time guests into mature followers of Jesus.
• Equip small-group leaders, ministry leaders, and volunteers to make and multiply disciples.
• Encourage a culture of biblical community, spiritual formation, service, and mission.

• Participate as a member of the pastoral staff in prayer, pastoral care, ministry planning, and congregational life.
• Build healthy relationships across the congregation and work collaboratively with staff, deacons, and ministry leaders.
• Contribute to the broader mission and ministry of Bismarck Baptist Church.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to pastoral ministry.
• Full agreement with and commitment to the church’s Statement of Faith
• A pastoral heart and a passion for worship and making disciples.
• Experience leading musical worship and developing volunteer ministry teams.
• Strong relational, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively and build healthy ministry teams.
• Proficiency in leading worship vocally and instrumentally, preferably on guitar, piano, or another primary worship instrument.
• Familiarity with worship technology such as Pro Presenter, sound systems, and service-planning software.
• Spiritual maturity, humility, integrity, dependability, and a commitment to excellence.
• Bachelor’s or master’s-level theological education is desired but not required.
