We are looking for a Building Automation Controls Specialist in North Dakota (Bismarck or Fargo) to support the programming, commissioning, and servicing of building automation systems. This role is a great fit for someone with hands‑on BAS or DDC experience who wants to continue growing their technical skills while working on a variety of HVAC and integrated building systems.
Responsibilities- Assist with programming, configuration, and commissioning of BAS and controls systems (Siemens or similar platforms preferred).
- Support system integrations related to HVAC, lighting, access control, and energy monitoring.
- Troubleshoot BAS and DDC related issues in the field or remotely.
- Develop or modify graphics, dashboards, and system views for end users.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to support project delivery.
- Provide customer support, documentation, and occasional end‑user training.
- 2 plus years of experience working with BAS, DDC, or HVAC controls.
- General understanding of HVAC systems and control sequences.
- Exposure to common BAS protocols such as BACnet or Modbus.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or control documentation.
- Comfortable working with customers and project teams.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a technical controls role.
- Experience with Niagara N4 or other BAS platforms.
- Previous involvement in system startup or commissioning.
- Familiarity with graphics, alarms, or trending.
- Interest in mentoring junior team members over time.
