What You Will Do:
  • Assist in the design and coordination of roadway projects for government agencies such as City, County and State DOT
  • Perform design calculations, quantity, and cost estimates, developing design specifications, alignment and profile design, and plan preparation
  • Attend client meetings and taking meeting minutes
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
  • 1-4 years of experience in Transportation engineering or related field is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date to maintain employment
  • Prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, specifically MS Excel, MS Word and preferably Micro Station
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this position
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week
  • Ability to work in posted locations
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
