- Support the Engineering and Design business unit as part of the electrical group
- Work with multidisciplinary project teams and provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise
- Integrate process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems
- Design power and controls for power plants, refineries, mine processing facilities, heavy industrial facilities, and municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Complete calculations and analyses
- Develop design details
- Prepare drawings, specifications, sketches, and cost estimates
- Select equipment
- Write proposals and reports
- Communicate with clients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives
- Travel for up to 10-15 percent domestic fieldwork
- Work in construction-site terrain and lift or move field testing equipment as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field with academic coursework focused on power or control systems
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certified or ability to obtain certification within one year
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
- Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Flexible working style and willingness to occasionally modify schedule to meet deadlines and client needs
- Ability to work cooperatively in a project team environment
- Effective project organization and management skills
- Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Familiarity with power studies using SKM, ETAP, or similar software
Demonstrates expertise in electrical engineering with a focus on power and control systems, including design and integration of electrical systems for various industrial applications. Proficient in project management, technical communication, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
