Position

Summary

The Conversions Crew Member will perform general labor duties as assigned. Duties included but not limited to building conversions for various events, set up and breaking down chairs, tables, staging, housekeeping, etc.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 - $20.00

Located in the heart of Bismarck, the Bismarck Event Center is the region’s premier destination for live entertainment, conventions, meetings, sporting events, and community gatherings. As the largest event and conference facility in western North Dakota, the venue hosts a diverse range of events each year, including concerts, trade shows, banquets, conferences, family shows, and special events. Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Read and interpret paperwork regarding room set-ups.
  • Set up and tear down a variety of equipment, including, but not limited to, chairs, tables, staging, risers, trash cans, dance floors, coat racks, table skirting, carpet, and pipe & drape.
  • Set up A/V equipment, such as video screens, projectors, audio systems, and staging.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub & wax floors; wash walls, windows, stainless steel, countertops, and woodwork.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms to the highest quality of service while replenishing supplies.
  • Remove stains, clean, and extract carpet.
  • Responsible for properly cleaning and maintaining a specific area of the facility.
  • Dusts, polishes, arranges, and moves furniture and equipment.
  • Remove rubbish and waste.

    Perform facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Report defective equipment, facility damage, areas of the facility requiring cleaning, and incorrect or improper set-ups to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience with conversions is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to follow basic instruction and direction.
  • Ability to keep equipment organized.
  • Ability to perform general labor; heavy lifting is required.
