The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCR) is seeking an Accounting and Grants Manager to oversee key accounting functions while coordinating agency grant activities. This position works closely with agency leadership, program staff, and external partners to support financial reporting, grant management, budget oversight, and fiscal accountability across the organization.
Responsibilities- Prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, review trial balances, and provide financial information to agency leadership.
- Coordinate grant activities, including researching funding opportunities, supporting grant applications, and working with agency staff throughout the grant process.
- Monitor grant expenditures, reconcile grant funding, submit reimbursement requests, and maintain required grant documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable approvals and support day-to-day fiscal operations.
- Provide oversight of resident account processes and related financial activities.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both financial data and people. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple responsibilities, build positive working relationships, and communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Preference will be given to applicants with 3 or more years of experience coordinating or managing grants, including fiscal oversight and reporting and prior supervision of accounting or fiscal staff.
