** JOB SUMMARY
** The Finance Intern will support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and financial activities while gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting. This role will assist with financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and other Finance projects, giving the intern exposure to a variety of areas across the department.
** ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
*** Month-End Closing:
Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and gathering supporting documentation.
* General Accounting:
Assist with general accounting activities and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Fixed Assets:
Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and supporting related accounting activities.
* Financial Reporting:
Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and analysis.
* Audit Support:
Assist with gathering documentation and information for internal and external audits.
* Continuous Improvement:
Support Finance projects and assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting.

* Collaboration:

Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to support daily financial activities and projects.
* Perform other Finance-related duties as assigned.
** JOB SPECIFICATIONS
**** Skills and Knowledge
*** Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
* Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Prior accounting or finance experience is a plus, but not required.

*** Generally, a standard office environment.
* Sitting required approximately 90% of the time.
* Repetitive hand motion.
* Long periods of sitting and working on a personal computer.
* Ability to concentrate on detail 95% of the time.
