Travel Polysomnographer​/Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography

Position: Travel Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with at least 2 years of sleep disorders experience and current ND licensure for an acute care setting.

Job Details

• Position is based in an acute care sleep study unit within a Level 2 trauma center,

• Unit has 4 sleep beds with a patient ratio of 1 technologist per 2 patients,

• Duties include performing sleep studies and administering CPAP, O2, and bilevel treatments for sleep disorders,

• Equipment utilized includes Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment, Res Med Pap machines, and EPIC One Chart EMR,

• Overnight shifts are 12 hours, scheduled 3 nights per week with no weekends or holiday shifts,

• Orientation consists of one week with day technologists covering workflows, EMR software, hospital layout, and a second week with night training,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the sleep disorders field required,

• Current ND Respiratory Care License and Registered Sleep Technologist certification (RPSGT or equivalent) required,

• BLS certification required,

• Experience using EPIC EMR preferred,

• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Gray scrubs are the required dress code,

• All clinicians must badge in and out,

• Returning travelers who have worked at Sanford Health must have a 6-month gap since their last employment,

• Local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles are not accepted,

• Initial orientation includes shadowing with experienced staff for hands-on training before working independently,
