Your Responsibilities:- Provide legal counsel on a broad spectrum of commercial, contractual, regulatory, and litigation issues, with a strong emphasis on the healthcare sector. Responsibilities will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating customer agreements, strategic alliances, and content licensing agreements related to emerging AI technologies.
- Collaborate with segment leadership to assess contractual and regulatory risks associated with new customer offerings, sales activities, and marketing initiatives.
- Advise the business on healthcare information technology (HIT) and intellectual property law, including compliance with HIPAA/HITECH and GDPR regulations.
- Effectively manage external legal counsel and work closely with fellow attorneys across the globe on varied legal matters.
- Gain a deep understanding of Wolters Kluwer Health, including its workforce, organizational structure, product offerings, and competitive landscape to deliver timely legal insights that support business operations.
- Build robust relationships with senior executives and functional teams to enhance the quality and efficiency of legal services.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree and a J.D. (law degree), with admission to practice in your residing state.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of advanced corporate/commercial legal experience, ideally with exposure to both a reputable law firm and an established in-house legal team, particularly in healthcare transactions.
- Have a strong foundation in innovative HIT and digital health concepts, along with experience in software licensing and SaaS agreements.
- Understand US and EU healthcare laws that influence Wolters Kluwer’s operations and product development.
