We are actively seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead mission-critical construction projects in North Dakota
. This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong technical knowledge, financial acumen, and experience managing complex MEP-driven builds in high-performance environments.
This is an opportunity to join a respected General Contractor with a strong pipeline of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
Position OverviewThe Data Center Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and financial management of large-scale mission-critical projects. This role oversees budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, and client relationships from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-track environments where precision, accountability, and leadership are critical.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction through turnover
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance
- Coordinate closely with field Superintendents to ensure execution aligns with schedule and budget
- Manage change orders, cost controls, and risk mitigation strategies
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation
- Ensure MEP systems are properly coordinated and aligned with commissioning milestones
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary point of contact
- Provide executive-level reporting on financials, progress, and risk
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience
- 3+ years of experience managing data center or mission-critical projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, switch gear)
- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgets
- Proficiency with scheduling software and cost management systems
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
