Maintenance Technician - assistance

Our client company is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment, facilities, and tools. Schedule: Must be flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
, based on operational needs.

• Learn set-up, operation, adjustments, and operating parameters of production equipment.
• Safety must always be a priority, must remedy any unsafe conditions as quickly as possible.
• Assess maintenance and repair problems with follow-up.
• Repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production, and perform plumbing and electrical work as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong communication with machine operators, department supervisors, and managers.
• Facilitate implementation of preventive maintenance schedule for production equipment & machinery.
• Build spare parts stock for normal wear items.
• Paint any areas and as necessary and repair aesthetic defects such as seals, hinges, hangers, etc., as production schedule allows.
• Develop a daily walk-through routine to identify and document potential problems or issues.
• Be on call, as needed.
• Serve as a role model in projecting and applying company policies and departmental SOPs, and promote a teamwork environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical work (single-phase, 3-phase, programming), refrigeration, welding, fabrication, forklift operation, or general building maintenance.
• Experience in Process Improvement and Best Practices.
• Industrial Refrigeration Certification is a plus.
• Food processing industry experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• 96% of work conducted in production areas with exposure to machinery, noise, varying temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Exposure to food allergens in ingredients or finished products.
• Strong communication skills required (phone, email, face-to-face, video conferencing).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
