Job TitleProduction Manager
Job SummaryThe Production Manager is a hands‑on, leadership-driven role responsible for overseeing plant operations at the Bismarck, Missouri facility. The role creates a culture of safety first, continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence while fostering cross‑functional collaboration across Quality, Maintenance, HR, Logistics, and other departments.
Job Responsibilities- Providing leadership and coaching to production supervisors and employees to meet all safety, environmental, quality, cost, and service goals.
- Partnering with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure finished products meet customer requirements through continuous improvement and the plant's quality management system.
- Working with the Maintenance Manager to keep equipment reliable, efficient, and cost‑effective.
- Leading the reliability strategy and involving production employees in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Co‑ordinating with Shipping and Receiving to optimize the manufacturing schedule and adjust as necessary to deliver timely service to customers.
- Partnering with HR on performance management, employee engagement, organizational change, staffing, and development.
- Driving continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, and other methodologies.
- Ensuring training in Safety, Quality, and Process is effective and complete.
- Mentoring direct reports and building an accountable, results‑oriented team.
- Maintaining plant housekeeping and a 5S program to sustain improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus; relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in Lean and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven history of operational enhancements through employee engagement.
- Ability to achieve results individually and as part of a team.
The Production Manager must comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times. All employees, including operators and supervisors, are expected to prioritize safety in all tasks and adhere to plant procedures to protect personnel, equipment, and product quality.
