The Production Supervisor will lead the assigned team ensuring that all associates have the proper training and tools to achieve the expectations of their respective positions. In this role, the Production Supervisor must be able to demonstrate and train others to assemble, disassemble, repair, and test all product lines. The Production Supervisor has comprehensive product knowledge, a complete understanding of production procedures, comprehensive understanding of fluid power, and advanced ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery.
Responsible for all inbound/outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and daily objectives.
- Manages the quality, output, workflow of the team.
- Provides individual coaching and direction to team.
- Coordinates with the Operations Leader to provide feedback towards employee development.
- Assigns tasks to Associates based on team’s abilities and capacity.
- Tests completed products and systems.
- Trains and holds Associates accountable on products and processes.
- Coordinates with Operational Leader to assist in field service for products as needed.
- Implements technical or process improvements to assist the team achieve site goals.
- Maintains daily production while communicating with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
- Implements and maintains safety practices and procedures.
- Manages inbound/outbound shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Audits and maintains system accuracy and record transactions in business operating system.
- Assembles mobile hydraulic systems in accordance with the work instructions to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications.
- Responsible for customer service experience at the will call counter.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong skills with hand and power tools.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.
- Detail oriented, to provide the highest level of quality.
- Associates Degree in Fluid Power, Mechatronics, or related field strongly preferred. Certified Fluid Power Specialist, preferred.
