Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified LDRP RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501!

Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 03-30-2026

End Date: 06-29-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule posted 6 weeks in advance, includes every-third-weekend coverage and holiday-as-needed (rotating days and nights)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide expert labor, delivery and postpartum nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
  • Continuously monitor fetal and maternal status using EFM and apply AWHONN fetal monitoring guidelines
  • Titrate drips safely and accurately (pitocin, magnesium, occasional insulin) and manage common obstetric meds
  • Assist and scrub in surgical cases, including C-sections and related gynecologic procedures when needed
  • Perform triage assessments in the 3-bay triage area and coordinate care for admissions and transfers
  • Collaborate with OB, anesthesia, neonatology (NNP) and unit staff for seamless, multidisciplinary care
  • Document thoroughly in EPIC and participate in handoffs to ensure continuity and patient safety
  • Support unit flow, take assignment as needed, and participate in charge nurse activities when assigned
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted RN license (eligible to work in North Dakota)
  • Minimum 3 years of LDRP (Labor & Delivery/Postpartum) nursing experience
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
  • BLS and NRP required; STABLE certification required
  • EPIC charting experience is required
  • Comfortable titrating drips and managing common obstetric emergencies
  • Willingness to scrub in OR and assist with C-section care
  • Able to float to related areas (NICU, med/surg, PCU/ICU/ED) as needed
Education
  • Active RN licensure; nursing degree required (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong fetal monitoring skills and familiarity with GE/Corometrics EFM systems
  • Proficiency with obstetric medications (pitocin, magnesium sulfate, labetalol, TXA, methergine, hemabate, cytotec)
  • Competence placing telemetry/monitor patches and reading strips in immediate post-op recovery
  • EPIC electronic charting and documentation best practices
  • Triage assessment skills and ability to prioritize care in a busy L&D/Postpartum setting
  • Neonatal resuscitation principles and post-delivery newborn care awareness
