Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Bismarck, ND

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume surgical environment performing 40–60 procedures per day across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, General, CV, Neuro, OB/GYN, Robotic, Plastics, ENT, and Urology
• Support a wide range of orthopedic procedures including knee and hip arthroplasties, shoulder and knee arthroscopies, open reduction internal fixation, hip nailing, ACL repairs, carpal tunnel releases, and tendon repairs
• Utilize computerized charting via EPIC and operate orthopedic equipment from major vendors; collaborate closely with vendor representatives during orthopedic cases
• Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio throughout surgical procedures in a 12-room main hospital OR and a 6-room outpatient surgery center
• Work across both the main hospital surgery center and the adjacent outpatient surgery center as required
• Follow thorough and up-to-date preference cards for surgical procedures and work collaboratively with surgeons and the surgical team

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Experience with orthopedic surgical procedures and associated equipment
• Permanent address must be located more than 80 miles from the facility location

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including CV, Neuro, Robotic, OB/GYN, ENT, Urology, and Plastics
• Familiarity with orthopedic equipment and implant systems commonly used in arthroplasty and arthroscopy procedures
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
