Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Full-Time Opportunity | Up to $17,500 Sign-On Bonus Available!
Wages: Start at $34.35/hour, with increases based on experience.

- Comprehensive obstetric care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized, evidence‑based care for women and newborns.
- Perinatal assessment & monitoring: Advanced fetal monitoring and labor progression assessment to ensure safety.
- Support & educate: Provide emotional support, coaching, and education on newborn care and breastfeeding.
- Collaborate for optimal outcomes: Coordinate care plans with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and the L&D team.
- High‑acuity care & response: Manage complex situations, including vaginal births, C‑sections, and neonatal resuscitation.
- Adhere to best practices: Follow AWHONN standards and hospital protocols.
- Documentation & communication: Maintain precise and timely documentation and facilitate clear communication.
- FTE/hours: 0.9, 72 hours biweekly
- Shift type: Days & nights rotation
- Shift length: 12 hours
- On‑call expectations: Yes
- Weekend/holiday rotations: Every 3rd weekend/rotating holidays
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred.
- Licensure: Current RN license in North Dakota or a compact state.
- Experience: At least two years of recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery. Mother/Baby or Postpartum experience considered.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire or within orientation.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or within 6 months.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 3 months of hire.
- Fetal Monitoring (e.g., AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced EFM) preferred or within 1 year.
- Skills:
- Exceptional clinical judgment and critical thinking for maternal/child health.
- Outstanding communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, effective teamwork in fast‑paced, high‑stress environments.
- Strong patient advocacy and teaching abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Pay Range: $35.38 - $50.69 per hour.
Sign‑on bonus up to $17,500 available.
