Position Overview
Sanford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide post‑operative care in a fast‑paced team environment. The role involves a 36‑hour weekly schedule with 8‑hour shifts that may vary throughout the week. Compensation ranges from $32.00 to $48.00 per hour, with an additional $20,000 sign‑on bonus available to eligible applicants.
Responsibilities and DutiesThe RN will use the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation—to deliver individualized care to patients of all ages. Key duties include:
- Assessing patients’ health status upon admission and developing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Implementing and evaluating nursing interventions, monitoring patients’ progress, and adjusting treatments as needed.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Adhering to evidence‑based practices and department‑specific competencies.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLNCNEA). A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• Holds an unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Currently maintains required departmental competencies and certifications.
