RN Ambulatory - Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic

Overview

Sanford Health’s Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to cardiac patients.

Work shift:

8 hours – day, Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm. The RN will use the nursing process to deliver individualized nursing care in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Coordinate patient care, perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and post‑hospital care.
• Conduct triage, monitor vitals, and manage acute patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other inter‑professional staff to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain competence in age and population‑specific standards and follow state nursing practice act and administrative rules.
• Document all nursing activities in the electronic health record accurately and timely.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA);
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; multistate licensure via Nurse Licensure Compact permitted.
• Valid departmental licensure, competencies, and certifications required for assignment.
• Proficient in using nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics with interpretive statements, and electronic medical records.
• Experience with cardiovascular or acute care settings is a plus.
