Department:
Medsurg/Onc RN – Oncology core staff to do chemo, no onc provider in house currently. Certifications required: BLS. Nurse‑patient ratios:
Days 1:4‑5, Nights 1:5‑6. Common diagnoses include adult and geriatric patients, strokes (stroke unit, some acute but not thrombectomies), HTN, COPD, cellulitis, CHF, atrial fibrillation (non‑RVR), chest pain, MI after ICU, AMS/behavioral issues, some telemetry, surgical overflow (no joints or cranial). Must have experience—first‑time travelers acceptable. Prefer experience with trach and BiPAP, not required. RNs are required to titrate drips (e.g., Lasix, Heparin);

lasix experience preferred but not mandatory. Charge nurse on each shift serves as resource. Nurse aids/PCAs present with a 1:8 ratio; responsibilities include ventilator equipment support. Tele/monitor techs present. RNs read their own strips? No, use tele packs; monitor tech handles strips. Shift schedule 07:00‑19:30 and 19:00‑07:30; manager sets schedule, block scheduling considered if unit needs met. Weekend requirement: every other;

holiday requirement: as needed. No call or standby. Floating to other Med Surg units; tele RN handles strips if assigned. ER holds occasionally. No mom‑baby. Scrub color not specified; scrubs provided not required. Orientation 1‑2 shifts. Great unit culture and teamwork, family‑oriented. Radius rule: 50 miles. Candidates may not be full‑time, part‑time, or PRN with any Common Spirit affiliate (including CHI/Dignity).

RTO needed upfront (≤7 days per 13‑week contract). No additional RTO after submission.
