PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Position

Location: Bismarck, ND
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8hrs & 12hrs (mixed)
Pay: $2325.60/week

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. The PACU RN will monitor vital signs, manage post‑anesthesia symptoms, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective recovery. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, and dedicated to patient safety and comfort.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the immediate post‑anesthesia phase.
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and neurological function.
• Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and interventions as needed.
• Educate and support patients and families during the recovery process.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Follow PACU protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.

• Active RN license in ND
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• COVID vaccine, recent TB test
• At least 3 years of PACU experience
