Job TitleRegistered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Onsite | Every other weekend required | 2 of every 3 holidays required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care across multiple medical-surgical, telemetry, and stepdown units, including cardiac telemetry, orthopedic/joint, observation, general surgical/medical, stroke/neuro, and oncology/medical units
- Monitor and care for cardiac telemetry patients, including post-catheterization patients and titration of intravenous cardiac medications
- Perform clinical procedures including IV starts, dressing changes, central line care, and Foley catheter management
- Manage high patient turnover environments, including admissions, discharges, and infusion patients requiring blood or antibiotics
- Float to all assigned medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry/stepdown units, as well as overflow areas such as the ED and PACU, to care for patients awaiting bed placement
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and utilize Acudose for narcotic dispensing and medication scanning
- Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
- Active BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
- Demonstrated cardiac experience with ability to perform IV starts, dressing changes, and central line care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remain highly organized, and manage patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
- Experience with progressive care or stepdown patient populations
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and automated medication dispensing systems
- Experience caring for post-surgical, neurological, or oncology patients
- Gain broad clinical exposure by working across a diverse range of specialty units within a large inpatient facility
- Structured orientation program including preceptored shifts and classroom training to support a smooth transition into the role
