Description:
A Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology is responsible for managing conscious sedation with autonomy.
Daily charting and circulation duties for interventional procedures are expected.
The role involves pre and post-operative care for both inpatient and outpatient cases.
Typical cases may include stroke thrombectomy, embolizations, biopsies, drain insertions, and more.
There are two labs, and an average of 5-10 cases are performed each day.
The Registered Nurse will work within a team that includes Interventional Radiologists and Radiology Technologists.
The work schedule includes availability for on-call shifts and weekend requirements.
Compliance with dress code and equipment usage is mandatory.
A supportive team lead is present during every shift to facilitate operations.
Additional floating between pre-operative and post-operative areas is required.
Charting is conducted using an electronic medical record system.
