Meat Clerk

Overview

Meat Clerk II is responsible for providing meat preparation services to customers, filling the service counter and self‑service cases, and waiting on guests at the counter. Meats are prepared using operating tools and equipment up to 60 % of the time.

In stores that feature a Smokehouse, this role assists the Smokehouse Manager by creating superior sausage and other smokehouse products. The meat clerk also delivers continuous guest service, ensures the superior quality and freshness of all meat, seafood and fresh smokehouse products, educates and assists customers at the meat and seafood service counter, attracts guests by creating a fun and friendly atmosphere, actively engages guests with fresh product samples and suggestive selling, keeps the meat and seafood cases fully stocked, and follows all health, safety and sanitation regulations.
