Meat Department Manager

Role Overview: Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, proper staffing, and compliance with company standards to meet performance goals.

• Key Responsibilities: Manage inventory ordering and maintenance, verify received products, oversee stocking and product quality, and ensure adherence to food safety and safety guidelines.
• Develop and communicate work schedules, control labor and payroll expenses, and implement company policies using designated tools and software.
• Lead staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates while monitoring department goals and forecasts.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department aligned with standards, and ensure compliance with food safety and safety regulations.
• Participate in meetings, execute weekly plans, and develop strategies to meet key performance indicators.

Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; retail experience and supervisory skills preferred. Strong communication, organization, leadership, strategic planning, and retail systems knowledge are essential. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and bilingual skills are desirable.

Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a retail environment with varied temperatures and noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available.
