About This RoleThis job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT medical card.
Work Will Consist Of- Repairing, maintaining, and servicing all equipment (bucket trucks, line truck (diggers), cranes, wire‑pulling equipment, dozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, tracked equipment, trailers, pick‑up trucks, etc.)
- Working with hazardous tools (welders, torches, grinders)
- Operating around moving equipment and in constricted spaces
- Possessing and supplying own mechanic hand tools (diagnostic scanners and specialty tools company supplied)
- Field work on various jobs in and around the Midwest
- Maintaining and operating a company‑supplied service truck with crane
- Electronically filling out work orders, ordering parts, keeping time, and completing daily reports
This is a non‑exempt hourly role with required overtime.
- The pay range is $28–$52 per hour, based on skill and experience level, with opportunity to grow.
This position will work from our job sites in WY, CO, SD, MN, NE, ND and all Midwest states, up to 100% expected travel within the Central region as needed.
What You’ll DoWork with supervision and support from a field supervisor, performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs, maintenance, and services on all company and rental equipment.
Diagnose the source of trouble and determine the extent of necessary repairs.
Keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean work area at all times.
Demonstrate safe work habits, proper care for tools and equipment, while following all safety and PPE protocols.
RequiredWhat You’ll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid, active driver’s license (required)
- Own mechanic hand tools
- 3 to 5 years of aerial unit experience (bucket trucks, diggers, cranes)
- Knowledge and experience to help grow our team
- Knowledge of electrical overhead powerline construction equipment
- Previous experience with construction equipment repair (yellow iron, tracked equipment)
- Tractor‑trailer chassis and engine experience
- Valid, active CDL A (preferred)
- High‑level technicians with extensive Midwest experience (training provided)
Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
