We are looking for a hands‑on Low Voltage Technician to join our team in the Fargo or Bismarck area. This role focuses on installing and supporting commercial security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and related low‑voltage infrastructure. If you enjoy working in the field and seeing systems come together from start to finish, this is a great opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing- Install and wire low‑voltage systems including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
- Mount and terminate devices such as card readers, door hardware (electric strikes, mag locks), cameras, and control panels
- Run and dress cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, etc.) in commercial environments
- Assist with system startup, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Work from blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure proper installation
- Coordinate with project managers, programmers, and other trades onsite
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all safety protocols
- Support senior technicians or programmers with system setup and commissioning
- Experience in low‑voltage installation, security systems, or structured cabling
- Familiarity with access control, video surveillance, or alarm systems is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience with platforms like Genetec, LenelS2, or Milestone Systems
- Previous experience installing door hardware, cameras, or access control systems
