Job Description & How to Apply Below
Western Products is looking for an experienced window professional to join our Bismarck team in a hybrid role. This position combines field measuring with hands‑on installation, playing a critical role from job preparation through completion. Part of your week will be spent meeting with homeowners, taking measurements, and evaluating jobsites. The remainder will be spent installing replacement windows and doors to meet our high standards for craftsmanship, quality, and customer services.
This is not an entry‑level position. We need a skilled professional who understands replacement window systems, installation best practices, and how to identify and solve potential issues before they become costly problems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Take accurate field measurements for residential window and door replacement projects
- Evaluate existing conditions and determine appropriate installation methods
- Identify potential issues, including out-of-square openings, rot, framing concerns, and other installation challenges
- Ensure measurements meet manufacturer specifications and production requirements
- Install replacement windows and doors in residential homes
- Perform high-quality flashing, water management, trim, and finish work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, team members, and project staff
- Help deliver a seamless customer experience from project planning through installation
- 3+ years of window installation, exterior remodeling, carpentry, or related construction experience
- Experience with residential replacement windows, not just new construction
- Strong understanding of window systems, installation methods, and jobsite evaluations
- Ability to accurately measure and diagnose field conditions
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for documentation
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Company truck and gas card
- Stable, year-round work
- Top benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, and more
- Family-owned company with opportunities for advancement
- Supportive team focused on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction
