Knife River is seeking a Tech Team Technician to support construction operations through reliable setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and technology systems. In this role, you'll assist with calibration, inspection, and repair of construction tools, plant systems, and related technology used in aggregate, asphalt, and concrete production. You'll document work performed, follow strict safety procedures, and collaborate with operators, mechanics, and supervisors to minimize downtime.

This position offers hands-on technical experience, strong training, and growth potential with a safety-focused, team-oriented construction leader.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot construction and plant equipment and technology systems
  • Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and basic repairs on tools and production equipment
  • Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status accurately
  • Support safe startup, shutdown, and operation of equipment per company procedures
  • Collaborate with operators, mechanics, and supervisors to resolve technical issues and reduce downtime
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, testing, and implementation of new tools or systems
  • Follow all Knife River and OSHA safety policies, PPE requirements, and best practices
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools and materials
