After school Programs end at 5:30pm twice per week and evening family Cultural Programs run from 6pm‑9pm two‑three times per week. Candidate must be able to have a flexible schedule. Overtime is necessary from time to time.

The Youth and Family Engagement and Cultural Coordinator (YFECC) is responsible for providing cultural enrichment activities at the Bismarck location. This position provides direct support to Native American youth and families by offering daily after‑school activities, community‑wide culture events, and regularly scheduled culture, arts and performance exhibitions and sweat lodge ceremonies. The YFECC will plan cultural programs, coordinate artisans and storytellers, and host the arts and crafts programs for after school and evening family programs;

the YFECC will engage youth and families involved in at‑risk of juvenile delinquency and at‑risk of out‑of‑home placement. The YFECC’s goal is to improve family unification through active engagements, supportive services by connecting them to necessary services and resources in the community and to our cultural/spiritual programs.

• Must have an associate degree in a related field.
• Must have at least one year of experience with project coordination.
• Must know artisans, cultural bearers within the Northern Plains Tribes.
• Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Must be detail oriented with time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Must be knowledgeable in Tribal cultural arts and crafts and spiritual practices.
• Must be able to maintain professional relationships.
• Must have computer skills and efficiency with Office 365 applications.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be a team player.
