Embedded Software Engineer

• Develop embedded software, scripts, and internal utilities using C/C++, C#, Python, Qt, and/or Matlab/Simulink
• Create and execute unit, hardware, and on-machine tests
• Participate in code reviews
• Manage requirements
• Utilize project tracking systems
• Operate equipment
• Construct electrical harnesses
• Log and analyze test data
• Apply schooling to real-world projects and gain hands-on experience

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or equivalent
• 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
• Ability to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire co‑op term (8 months) or internship term (4 months)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Demonstrates proficiency in developing embedded software and scripts using C/C++, C#, Python, and Qt, while effectively managing requirements and conducting thorough testing. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities are essential for success in collaborative and independent project environments.
