Job Overview
The Recreation Attendant/Lifeguard will work at Point-to-Point Park, the TRMF amusement and recreation facility. The facility includes an 18‑hole mini golf course, zip line, lazy river, perception house, pools, and concessions. The role combines lifeguarding duties with guest service and facility maintenance.
Salary and BenefitsAll employees begin as Recreation Attendants at $13.00 per hour plus tips. Upon completion of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course, pay rises to $17.00 per hour plus tips. Tips are earned at the concessions counter and split among all working employees.
Responsibilities- Open and close the pool each day according to scheduled hours.
- Treat pool water with appropriate chemicals and conduct regular cleaning and testing.
- Monitor pool area and weather conditions to ensure guest safety.
- Direct swimmers into and out of water in unsafe conditions.
- Provide emergency care and treatment until emergency medical services arrive.
- Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and customer service standards.
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and facility rules.
- Sell tickets, process payments, and manage cash registers.
- Organize and oversee pool parties.
- Participate in trainings and department meetings.
- Perform general maintenance: cleaning equipment, rides, booths, and grounds.

- At least 2 years’ lifeguard experience preferred.
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Capability to traverse the facility quickly.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in varied weather conditions.
Requires quick movements, strenuous activity, and occasional lifting of persons in distress. Must remain alert while sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods. Requires speaking, hearing, and use of hands to handle, feel, and reach.
Work EnvironmentOutdoor recreation setting in all weather conditions. Requires teamwork and guest interaction.
Hours & PayFull‑time, 35‑40 hours per week. Shift schedule includes Monday‑Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Work may require long hours and weekend coverage.
