Starting Date: Immediately
Job DescriptionSub bus drivers will provide transportation for activity trips and bus routes on an as‑needed basis. Drivers will be hired from a pool of candidates as openings occur.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Class C or higher commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement (air brake endorsement recommended)
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification
- Current DOT standards compliance
- Current driving record from North Dakota Motor Vehicle Department
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Transportation Supervisor
Job GoalTo provide safe transportation as needed to enhance education and activities within the Bismarck Public School District.
Performance Responsibilities- Drive bus on field trips, activity trips, and assigned routes as scheduled.
- Ensure passenger safety, welfare, discipline, and protection.
- Report any problems or unusual occurrences to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Adhere to all federal, state, local, and school district regulations, including random drug/alcohol testing.
