Overview
The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the job site, and prepare the truck for the following day while maintaining the truck and equipment.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, including OSHA and DOT requirements for the safety of all personnel
- Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure accuracy of orders
- Safely unload product and deliver to the assigned area as directed by the customer
- Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck
- Navigate routes to the job site
- Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately
- Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. to carry materials such as drywall materials and joint compound
- Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity
- Demonstrate servant leadership principles, even in a non-people management role, putting the needs of others first and valuing diverse perspectives
- Ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while collaborating to get the job done

- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers
- Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time
- Move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site
- Position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom
- Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. during unloading and loading
- Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information
- Work in an outside environment while making deliveries
- Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines
- Must be able to manage stress depending on customer deadlines
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to receive information and directions
- Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement
