Job Description
Duties include driving a truck to haul snow and sand on streets, street sweeping, and hauling dirt. Duties may also include operating lawn tractors, self‑propelled turf mowers, weed trimmers in open spaces and on other city property, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsMust possess a valid Class B or Class A North Dakota driver's license with air brake endorsement.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class B (or higher) CDL with air brake endorsement
- Experience operating a skid‑steer
- Experience working with hand tools (shovels, rakes, weed eaters, trimmers, etc.)
- Experience operating a loader
- Experience operating a riding lawn mower
- Intensity of physical activity/manual labor (none, light, moderate, vigorous)
- Years of experience driving a truck
- Types of trucks operated (dump, grain, semi, tanker, none)
- Experience operating a motor grader
- Familiarity with the streets of Bismarck (slightly, moderately, very familiar)
