Job Details

Accountant

This role supports multiple client organizations and provides hands‑on accounting, reporting, and financial management services.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and genuinely enjoys working with clients. This is a great opportunity for an accountant who wants variety in their day-to-day work and the opportunity to work across multiple organizations and financial environments.

Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions for multiple client organizations
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledgers
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, audits, and tax preparation
  • Assist with payroll preparation and payroll reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with payroll providers as needed
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Maintain accounting records and accounting software, including Quick Books Online
  • Prepare financial and management reports for clients, leadership, and boards
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding financial information, reporting, and accounting needs
  • Provide general administrative and financial support, including expense reporting and budget oversight
  • Participate in client meetings and present financial information when needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential financial records and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and client service
  • Support special events, meetings, training, and other organizational activities as needed
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency with accounting software;
    Quick Books Online experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
  • Comfortable managing multiple client relationships and competing deadlines
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required
