Piano Accompanist; Part-Time

The Part-Time Piano Accompanist supports the middle school and high school vocal music programs through collaborative piano performance and rehearsal accompaniment. This position requires a flexible, dependable musician who can work with student ensembles across two campus sites and assist in preparing students for performances, contests, and competitions.

• Accompany choirs, soloists, and ensembles during rehearsals and performances.
• Travel between the middle school and high school campuses as needed.
• Provide piano accompaniment for concerts, daily or sectional rehearsals, OSSAA contests, and show choir competitions and performances.
• Collaborate closely with choir directors to support instructional goals and performance preparation.
• Assist students with musical accuracy, tempo, entrances, and stylistic interpretation during rehearsals.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for all rehearsals and events.

• Participation in musical productions.
• Accompanying show choir rehearsals, performances, and competitions.
• Potential travel related to competitions and events.

• Proficient piano performance skills with strong sight‑reading ability.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret vocal and choral scores.
• Experience accompanying soloists and ensembles preferred.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly during rehearsals and live performances.
• Previous experience working with school‑aged musicians preferred.

This is a part-time position with a schedule that varies based on rehearsals, performances, competitions, and seasonal concert demands. Some evening and occasional weekend commitments are required.
