The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating financial information and other data through a comprehensive analysis to determine the underlying risks to the Bank by extending credit or lending money to a borrower.
This position is full-time, non-exempt, and would be located in Bixby.
- Analyze loan applications for new loans or renewals and assist with gathering appropriate financial data, collateral information, industry data, and market data.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, spread financial statements, prepare cash flows, including global cash flow analysis, to ensure adequate ability is available to service all debt obligations.
- Prepare detailed written loan memorandums in accordance with bank policies and procedures and advise Loan Officers and Senior Lending Officer on loan analysis findings.
- Thorough knowledge and compliance bank regulation and policies, including but not limited to, Regs B, O, Z, AA, BB, RESPA, TRID, HPQM, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Fair Housing Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Bank Bribery ACT and FDIC.
- Work with Loan Compliance Department to maintain the highest standard of compliance with all regulatory agencies and bank policies.
- Regular interaction with Loan Officers and, as necessary, with customers.
- Assist Loan Operations with loan documentation scanning and other tasks, as necessary.
- Coordinate and/or assist in any special projects in loan area.
- Complete bank training as required.
- Participate in bank activities.
Required
- Strong knowledge and ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
- Strong background in accounting and understanding of financial concepts.
- High level of analytical ability and detail oriented.
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and meet strict deadlines.
- Understanding of loan documents and other legal requirements to secure and perfect collateral.
- Strong written communication, verbal communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete assignments with little oversight and supervision.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- High character, integrity, professionalism, and work ethic.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Preferred minimum two (2) years of experience working as Credit Analyst in banking industry.
